If there’s one phrase we all have in common it’s self-sabotage. Once upon a time barely a day passed by, when I wasn’t guilty of this. High achievers in particular struggle with self sabotage and with the new year fast approaching, I want to share with you my top tips to stop sabotaging your own success, so that you can have your most transformational year yet!

Drown Out The Crowd

This sounds simple enough but it’s much harder to implement in practice. In today’s world, it’s never been easier to spy on your peers and it’s also never been easier to get thrown off course. Forget those around you and focus on you, no one else.

Get Comfortable With Failure

Failure is inherent in everything that we do and the quicker you accept this, the better. You will make greater strides because of it as your ego won’t be as hurt when things don’t always go to plan.

Acknowledge Your Fears

Self sabotage is a response to feeling that our best isn’t good enough. When we feel this way, our natural instinct is to think “ok why bother”. We then stand in our way and stop ourselves from achieving greatness. Hardly empowering is it?! One of the most effective ways to combat self-sabotage is to acknowledge your fears and work through them. Ask yourself, “what’s the worst that could happen?” and remember, everyone has a first and very few people get it right the first time.

Are you guilty of self-sabotaging?
